The Thornburg Campus Case Study
February 2009
The Thornburg Campus is a new 100,000 square foot corporate office Campus that will be occupied by Thornburg Investment Management and Thornburg Mortgage, two separate and independent firms with a long history of doing business in Santa Fe, NM. The Campus was designed to accommodate approximately 400 employees, and opened in February 2009.

Jefferson Green @ Journal Center Case Study
February 2009
Jefferson Green is a 3-story, approximately 85,000sf commercial office building in Albuquerque, NM. The building was designed as a speculative, core and shell project and consisted of entirely new construction. The project is located in a developed area, consisting of office buildings and small retail establishments,
known as Journal Center.

Cielo Azul Elementary School - Case Study
January 2009
Cielo Azul Elementary School is a new 85,000sf school built for Rio Rancho Public Schools (RRPS). It opened in Fall 2008 to serve 800 students in grades K-5 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Cielo Azul is a publicly funded project, with funds provided through both RRPS and the New Mexico Public Schools Capital Outlay Council (PSCOC).

UNLV Science and Engineering Building - Case Study
January 2009
The UNLV Science and Engineering Building is a 4-story, approximately 200,000sf research facility. The building will house roughly 116 offices, classrooms, a 200 seat auditorium, high tech conference rooms, a café and 13 core laboratories. The research and education building includes a national supercomputing center for energy and environment, a chemistry center, a geographic information systems lab, a soil analysis center, a visualization lab, and a greenhouse.

Creating a Sustainable Future for Sandia Preparatory School
May 2007
This study was commissioned to explore the use of sustainable practices to reduce the cost of annual operations and reduce the school’s impact on the environment. The LEED for Existing Buildings (LEED-EB) rating system was used as the framework to recommend a variety of physical, procurement and practice improvements.

Rio Rancho Public Schools to be the Subject of a USGBC LEED Cost/Benefit Analysis

Announcement of a pending study by USGBC analyzing the costs and benefits of two non-LEED prototype schools compared with the cost of two schools adapted from the prototype to achieve LEED certification.
