The Learning Commons - San Juan College, Farmington, NM

The Learning Commons at San Juan College in Farmington New Mexico is a library, a student center and a gateway. An informal library arrangement combines with expanses of glass to take advantage of the tranquil and panoramic views surrounding the college. Situated at the front door of the campus, the Learning Commons symbolizes the meaning of “learning” by its containment of printed books, multimedia, and specialized collections with an informal socialized setting for students. This short marketing film provides a glimpse into the progression of the project from early computer modeling, through construction, to final completion.
