Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town, Albuquerque, NM

This project involved extensive renovations to the largest hotel in Old Town, one of the most popular tourist attractions in New Mexico. The client’s intent to re-create an “Albuquerque style” for the hotel extended to a redesign of the site. Phase one included creating a gracious sequence of arrival, landscaped with an eclectic combination of Rio Grande Valley and desert plants found in Albuquerque. The site design for the second phase included themed outdoor garden rooms enclosed with portals, walls and plant borders to reinforce the hotel identity and provide highly desirable outdoor event space.
