Keshet Performing Arts Center

Keshet Dance Company will find a new home in a 36,000 square foot building located in the Sawmill Village near Old Town in Albuquerque.

Keshet Performing Arts Center (KPAC) will include six dance studios ranging in size to accommodate small and large classes including yoga and Pilates. Internal functions for the Keshet staff offices, students, and the restaurant patrons are brought together in a large two-story break-out space that is naturally lit with skylights.  It will feature a 200 seat black box theater with dressing rooms, green room, student lounge and technical booth.  Other amenities contributing to the Sawmill neighborhood includes a small organic restaurant and tenant spaces for other art organizations and non-profits.

KPAC incorporates the use of outdoor spaces with roll up doors on studios and the restaurant, allowing functions to flow into the outdoor plaza space.  The second level studios further the connection to the outdoors with roll up doors opening onto balconies overlooking 18th Street directly above the restaurant.  An outdoor roof deck directly adjacent to a large studio on the second floor provides a place for outdoor classes, performances, and rentable space for special occasions.  The new home for Keshet Dance Company will draw both residents and tourists to the developing Sawmill Village neighborhood.
