Bosque School North Campus Development
Elementary Schools | Middle Schools | High Schools | Specialized Educational & Administrative Facilities
The North Campus Development is the realization of a multi-phase facility master plan by Bosque Preparatory School. The client challenged Dekker/Perich/Sabatini to design a dynamic facility which preserved a visual and physical link to the natural setting of the Rio Grande bosque that borders the school to the east.
The first phase of the project consisted of a 15,000 square-foot gymnasium and training facility with the second phase being a 17,000 square-foot arts center addition that includes a performance space with visual and performing arts classrooms that can be transformed for daily use as the campus dining hall.
The design offers a formal entry to the west campus, while the eastern side of the development reflects the color and playful organic forms of the adjacent bosque, maximizes day lighting opportunities, and directs the eyes of the user to the views of the Sandia Mountains beyond.
